- 1 kg skinless chicken chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes puree
- 3-4 cm ginger paste
- 4 cloves garlic paste
- 4-5 tbsp chicken curry powder
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 large onion thinly sliced
- 2 sprigs curry leaves
- 2 medium potato cubed
- 2 1/2 cups low fat milk / unsweeten soy milk
- 4 cups water
- 2 tbsp unsaturated oil
- pinch of salt
- corainder for garnishing
- heat marinate chicken with garlic, ginger, tomato, 1 sprig curry leaves, 1/2 onions, 2-3 tbsp curry powder, 1/2 cup of water ... simmer over very low heat for 30-40 mins ... stir every now and then .... prevent water drying out
- saute curry leave, cinnamon stick, rest of the onions, potato till fragrant .. add to marinate chicken ... simmer for 10 mins ... add 1/2 cup water
- add milk, pinch of salt ... bring to a boil ... simmer for another 30 mins on low fire
- garnish with coriander
