Eight Treasure Rice

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1/2 cup glutinous rice
  • 1/2 cup long grain white rice
  • 1 tsp finely chopped dried shrimp
  • 150 g chicken breast meat, skinned, cut into 1 cm cubes
  • 1/4 cup onions diced
  • 1 lotus leaf
Eight Treasures Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup chinese mushroom
  • 1/4 cup bamboo shoots
  • 1/4 cup dried logan
  • 1/4 cup gingko nuts
  • 1/4 cup wolfberry
  • 1/4 cup red dates
  • 1/4 cup peanut
Seasonimg Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • pinch pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp five spice powder
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce

Procedure:
  1. combine rice ... wash
  2. in wok ... heat canola oil ... stir fried dreid shrimp, rice, five spice powder, pepper
  3. transfer into rice cooker ... addd 2 cups water ... cook for 15 mins till moist of the water absorbed
  4. heat sesame oil in pan ... add mushroom, chicken meat ... stir fry for 5 mins ... followed by remaining ingredients
  5. add soy sauce ... stir fry and mix well
  6. add the eight treasure ingredients ... mix well
  7. place rice in cleaned lotus leaf ... wrap ... steam for 30 mins till rice fully cooked
  8. serve rice in lotus leaf
